Trump: We do not need anyone’s help
Washington, March 17 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump criticized NATO allies for refusing to participate in the military operation against Iran, stating that the American military had single-handedly destroyed Iran’s military capacity and leadership.
U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the military operations in the Middle East and the stance of NATO allies.
Stating that they were deprived of operational support from NATO allies, Trump said: "The United States has learned that most of our NATO 'allies' do not want to participate in the military operation we are conducting against the terrorist Iranian regime in the Middle East. This occurred despite the fact that almost every country strongly agrees with what we are doing."
Describing NATO as a "one-way street," Trump argued that the U.S. has spent hundreds of billions of dollars to protect these countries but did not receive support when needed.
Announcing the results of the operation against Iran, President Trump said: "Fortunately, we have completely destroyed the Iranian army; their navy, air force, anti-aircraft systems, and radar systems are gone. Leaders at almost every level are gone. They will never again be able to threaten us or the world."
Emphasizing that they do not need external support due to the military successes achieved, Trump concluded: "We no longer 'need' the help of NATO countries and never did! The same applies to Japan, Australia, or South Korea. As the President of the most powerful country in the world — the United States — I say: we do not need anyone’s help."
