Tsahkna: Tallinn-Helsinki Tunnel will strengthen Europe’s transport network
Tallinn, August 26 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said the Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel project, together with Rail Baltica, will connect Northern and Southern Europe.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna said in a social media post that interconnected transport networks are important for reducing security risks, protecting critical trade routes and creating reliable transport networks.
Tsahkna said he had spoken to Finland-based MTV3 about the Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel project, stating, “Connectivity is at the heart of reducing security risks, protecting vital trade routes and ensuring reliable, resilient transport networks.”
Tsahkna said the Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel, together with Rail Baltica, will connect Northern and Southern Europe, adding that the project will create new opportunities for trade and strengthen the shared security architecture.
