UAE Ministry of Defence: Measures taken against 13 ballistic missiles and 27 drones
Abu Dhabi, March 18 (Hibya) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence announced that the country's air defence systems took action against 13 ballistic missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the country’s air defence systems took action against 13 ballistic missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles. The systems neutralized 13 ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran on March 18, 2026.
The statement noted that since the attacks began, UAE air defence systems have countered 327 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,699 unmanned aerial vehicles.
The statement also said: "As a result of these attacks, 2 members of our armed forces were martyred while carrying out their national duties, and 6 individuals of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities also lost their lives."
