Wadephul: We must strengthen Europe's security
Berlin, September 3 (Hibya) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul met with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot in the German city of Weimar on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle.
Wadephul welcomed his counterparts by saying, “Welcome to Weimar,” and noted that the three countries had come together again within the framework of the Weimar Triangle, established 35 years ago.
Describing Weimar as “the place where a special friendship was born,” Wadephul said, “Our common task is to strengthen Europe's security and make Europe more capable of taking action.”
In his statement, Wadephul emphasized the importance of cooperation with Poland and France for Europe's security and for strengthening Europe's capacity to act more effectively.
