Wong: We will continue to advocate for Robert Pether’s release
Canberra, April 7 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong emphasized the need for Australian citizen Robert Pether to be released from prison in Iraq.
Minister Wong recalled that Robert Pether has been imprisoned in Iraq for four years.
She noted that Pether is serving a sentence imposed by Iraqi courts, stating: “It is time for him to return to his family. The Australian Government will continue to advocate for Mr. Pether’s release.”
