Ukrainian President Zelensky made a statement regarding Russia's attack on Pechenihy in the Kharkiv region.

Zelensky said Russian forces attacked a busy intersection in the morning where a post office and shops are located and which is surrounded by residential buildings.

Zelensky said 10 people had been killed in the attack so far and expressed his condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives.

Noting that many people were injured and were receiving the necessary medical treatment, Zelensky said first responders had extinguished the fire and that emergency and rescue teams were continuing their work in the area.

Zelensky said, “We will definitely respond to this Russian attack.”

Zelensky said all circumstances surrounding the attack were being investigated and stressed that, alongside Ukraine's military response, its partners should also take steps to increase pressure on Russia and continue supporting Ukraine.
