Zelensky met with Dutch Prime Minister Jetten
Kyiv, April 16 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during his meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, they discussed security cooperation and new agreement models between the two countries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about defense projects with the Netherlands, increasing air defense capabilities, and joint weapons production.
Outlining the priorities of the meeting, Zelensky said: “Of course, security was the main focus of the meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. Today we placed particular emphasis on security issues.”
Sharing details of the new agreement model, Zelensky stated: “Ukraine proposed a special format for a security partnership agreement to the Netherlands: the UAV Agreement. This is not only about drones, but also about the comprehensive development of all air defense capabilities; protection against missiles and drones, development of electronic warfare, and joint weapons production.”
Noting that the process has been formalized, Zelensky added: “We tasked our teams with preparing all the details and signed the documents to begin this work—both for the UAV Agreement and, in particular, for the first joint production with the Netherlands.”
