Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement that, on behalf of Ukraine, he extended his condolences to the Norwegian Royal Family and the people of Norway following the death of King Harald V.

Zelensky said King Harald V embodied honor, wisdom and unwavering devotion to his country. He added that Ukraine would always remember King Harald V’s steadfast support and solidarity with the Ukrainian people during the most difficult days of Russia’s aggression.

Zelensky said his thoughts were with the Norwegian Royal Family and the people of Norway during this time of profound sorrow, and wished for the memory of King Harald V to live on forever.
