Belgium issues travel warning to the Middle East
Brussels, February 28 (Hibya) - Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot issued a warning regarding travel to Israel, Lebanon, and Iran due to the fluctuating security situation in the region.
Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prevot reminded of the existing travel warnings due to the recent increase in the fluctuating security environment in the region.
Prevot stated that all non-essential travel to Israel and Lebanon is advised against, and emphasized that all travel to Iran, for any reason, is strongly discouraged for Belgian citizens and dual nationals.
Prevot also called for Belgian citizens in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible and suggested that Belgians in the region register in the Travellers Online system for communication if necessary.
