Bulgarian Foreign Minister Neynski met with Duran
Sofia, March 29 (Hibya) - Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski met in Istanbul with Head of Communications of the Turkish Presidency Burhanettin Duran to discuss cooperation in combating disinformation and in the field of public diplomacy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria issued a statement regarding Minister Nadezhda Neynski’s visit to Istanbul.
Head of Communications of the Presidency Burhanettin Duran presented a globe to Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski.
During the meeting, strengthening strategic communication channels between the two countries and ensuring information security were the main agenda items.
Neynski expressed her gratitude for the invitation to attend the STRATCOM Summit 2026 and emphasized the importance of deepening dialogue in a dynamic information environment.
The ministry statement noted: “An intention was also expressed to strengthen cooperation between Bulgaria and Türkiye in countering hybrid threats and enhancing information resilience, including through best practices to increase capacity and institutional coordination.”
