Carney: Canada opens new doors for its defense industry with SAFE membership
Ottawa, February 22 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that his country has become the first non-European nation to join the SAFE (Strategic Alliance for Export) organization.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that Canada is the first non-European country to be granted SAFE membership. Carney said, “Canada is the first country outside Europe to receive SAFE membership. This membership creates new opportunities in international markets for defense industry manufacturers in Canada and better equips our military with the resources it needs.”
Prime Minister Carney emphasized that SAFE membership will both provide export opportunities for defense manufacturers and strengthen the modernization of the country’s armed forces.
