Costa: Strategic partnership between the EU and Kazakhstan is deepening
Astana, June 23 (Hibya) - European Council President Antonio Costa announced that the parties had agreed to strengthen the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.
European Council President Antonio Costa made a statement regarding the strengthening of the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.
Following his meeting with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Costa said: “We reaffirmed our objective of strengthening relations in the fields of critical raw materials, energy, transport, digitalisation and new technologies under the EU-Kazakhstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.”
The statement noted that progress achieved in the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and visa facilitation processes was welcomed, while the signing of the Horizontal Aviation Agreement was described as an important step. The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to peace, security, stability and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
