According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a meeting with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

During the meeting, the two ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments. The ministry’s statement also noted: “The parties, expressing satisfaction with the excellent relations between the two countries, emphasized the shared determination of their leaders to strengthen and expand cooperation in all areas of mutual interest — including economy, trade, tourism, transit, energy, technology, health, culture, and security, as well as combating terrorism and organized crime.”

The statement added that both sides also exchanged views regarding developments in Syria and Lebanon.
