Kos: Women can use EU funds for abortion
Brussels, February 26 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced that EU funds can be used to support women’s access to healthcare services.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Kos announced an important step regarding access to the right to safe abortion in Europe. Kos stated that EU member states can use EU funds to support women in difficult situations.
The Commissioner emphasized that as pressures on women’s rights increase worldwide, Europe continues to defend women’s safe access to healthcare services.
