Macron: France and Mauritania are reliable partners
Paris, April 16 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized strengthening cooperation between the two countries during his meeting with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
French President Macron hosted Mauritanian President El Ghazouani as part of an official state visit.
Macron stressed that France and Mauritania are reliable partners in the face of global instability and shared security challenges.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation in areas such as ensuring regional stability, responding to humanitarian crises, increasing economic investments, and developing opportunities for young people.
Macron also stated that relations between France and Africa should progress on the basis of “respect, ambition, and concrete action,” adding that cooperation will be deepened with a forward-looking approach.
