Milatovic: Reform is the only path to EU membership
Podgorica, March 23 (Hibya) - Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic stated that strengthening institutions and implementing concrete reforms are essential in the European Union (EU) process.
Montenegrin President Milatovic met with EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos.
During the meeting, Milatovic stated that Montenegro should use the final stage of negotiations to strengthen its institutions and the rule of law.
Emphasizing that Montenegro must have a functioning Constitutional Court, an implemented electoral reform, and stable political dialogue, Milatovic said: «Reforms must be visible and measurable, because this is the only path to European Union membership.»
