Miliband: Economic pressure on Russia should be increased
London, August 8 (Hibya) - UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said he supports the US Senate’s efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia and announced that the UK would continue imposing new sanctions.
Miliband said, “I applaud the US Senate’s efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia over the war it is waging against Ukraine.”
Noting that the UK also announced new sanctions against Russia during the week, Miliband said, “We will do more in the weeks and months ahead.”
Miliband emphasized that support for Ukraine would continue, saying, “The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine, and our allies do the same.”
