NASA: Artemis 2 astronauts set distance record
Washington, April 6 (Hibya) – The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that the astronauts of Artemis 2 reached the farthest distance from Earth, setting a new record.
NASA reported that the astronauts on the Artemis 2 mission achieved the greatest distance from Earth ever reached, setting a record.
In a statement from NASA, it was noted that the astronauts surpassed the record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 at 13:57 Eastern Time.
The statement added that during their journey on the far side of the Moon, the astronauts would reach a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.
