Pavel: Concrete steps are being taken for Europe’s defense
Prague, 13 February (Hibya) - President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel stated that concrete steps regarding Europe’s defense and the future of NATO are being shaped at the Munich Security Conference.
Emphasizing that no theoretical discussions are taking place at the conference, Pavel said, “There are no theoretical debates at the Munich Security Conference. Concrete steps concerning Europe’s defense and the future of NATO are being shaped here.”
Pavel noted that his contacts would continue, stating, “Tomorrow, meetings that may affect transatlantic, European, and Czech security await me.” He added that security begins with clear positions and strong partnerships, and stressed, “These partnerships must be continuously strengthened.”
