Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot emphasized Belgium's solidarity with Ukraine and Latvia, drawing attention to the loss of life and destruction caused by the attacks.

Providing details of Russia's bombardment, Prevot said: "Yesterday, missiles and guided bombs once again struck several regions. Eleven people were killed in the Kyiv and Sloviansk regions, and dozens were injured."

Referring to the severity of the attacks, Prevot stated: "This came only a few days after Kyiv was subjected to the heaviest ballistic missile bombardment of this war. We must not allow ourselves to become accustomed to this."

Prevot also noted that the consular building had been damaged: "In Sloviansk, the building housing Latvia's Honorary Consulate was also damaged. We stand in solidarity with our Latvian friends."

Concluding his statement with a message of condolences and support, Prevot said: "We stand with everyone who has lost loved ones and those awaiting news of the injured. Belgium's support for Ukraine is unwavering."
