Prevot: Iran’s attacks are unacceptable
Brussels, March 5 (Hibya) – Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot condemned Iran’s attacks against Gulf countries at the European Union – Gulf Cooperation Council (EU-GCC) Ministerial Meeting and called for diplomacy.
Belgian Foreign Minister Prevot attended the EU-GCC Ministerial Meeting. During the meeting, Prevot condemned Iran’s attacks against Gulf countries and emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure is unacceptable.
Prevot said, “The longer the fog of war lasts, the greater the risk of conflict becomes. All our energy must be focused on reducing tensions and activating diplomacy.” Prevot also expressed his respect for Oman’s mediation efforts.
The Belgian Foreign Minister stated that this period should not only strengthen solidarity but also enable a transition to a new phase in the EU-GCC partnership.
