Qatar condemns raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque
Doha, September 27 (Hibya) - Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned settler raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque carried out under the protection of Israeli forces, stating that unilateral steps aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem are contrary to international law.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the ongoing settler raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement, the ministry said the latest raid was carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces and described the actions as “a clear violation of international law and international humanitarian law.”
The statement emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims and that unilateral steps aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and the holy sites are invalid under international law.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the violations could increase tensions in the region and called on the international community to halt Israel's violations against the Palestinian people and holy sites.
The ministry also reiterated its support for the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
