London, April 10 (Hibya) - UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer issued a message marking the 28th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, which established peace in Northern Ireland.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke about the anniversary of the peace agreement signed during the Labour Party era.
Highlighting the historical significance of the agreement, Starmer said, "Today, exactly 28 years ago, the Good Friday Agreement was signed, one of the achievements the Labour Party is most proud of."
Sharing his personal experiences in Northern Ireland, Starmer stated, "While working in Northern Ireland, I witnessed firsthand the transformation that peace brought to communities."
Drawing attention to global uncertainties and the value of peace, Starmer concluded his statement by saying, "At a time of global instability, this agreement reminds us that peace must be built and preserved."
