Sybiha meets with Finnish Foreign Minister Valtonen
Brussels, May 11 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen as part of his contacts in Brussels. The meeting focused on the peace process, EU membership, and security cooperation.
Sybiha met with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen during the first stop of his Brussels visit. Sybiha stated that the meeting addressed the ongoing war in Ukraine, Europe’s new role in the process, and the latest developments on the front line.
Recent unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) incidents were also discussed during the meeting. Sybiha noted that Ukraine is ready to send an expert team to share experience with Finland and contribute to airspace security.
Ukraine’s European Union membership process was also discussed during the talks. Sybiha emphasized that the negotiation chapters should be opened as soon as possible.
The minister also stated that views were exchanged on developments in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Middle East. Thanking Finland for its support to Ukraine, Sybiha said that cooperation between the two countries continues.
