Selling pressure dominated the first trades of the week in U.S. futures markets. Dow Jones futures fell 0.24 percent, S&P 500 futures declined 0.27 percent and Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 0.22 percent.
While oil prices rose, the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury stood at 4.71 percent.
Dow Jones futures fell to 53,453 points, while S&P 500 futures traded at 7,701.50 points. Nasdaq 100 futures declined to 29,425.50 points.
The downward trend in index futures appears to have been influenced by rising geopolitical risks in global markets.
Oil prices, meanwhile, drew attention with an upward move. U.S. crude oil rose 2.15 percent to $85.19 per barrel.
The yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury stood at 4.71 percent, down 0.012 points from its previous level.
The limited decline in bond yields reflects investors' shift toward safe-haven assets, while markets continue to closely monitor developments in the U.S. economy and monetary policy.
