Yeşilgöz-Zegerius: Europe must do more for its own security
Amsterdam, June 23 (Hibya) - Dutch Defence Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius emphasized that Europe must strengthen its defence capabilities while assessing the continent’s security policies.
Dutch Defence Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius stated that both Europe and the Netherlands should take greater responsibility for their own security.
Noting that there has been a long-standing dependence on external actors, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said that more investment is needed in the European defence industry in order to build stronger armed forces.
Highlighting the importance of cooperation among countries, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said, “Country by country, we must examine how we can strengthen one another.”
