Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski announced that rescue operations are continuing in different parts of the country following drone attacks carried out by Russia.

Zelenski said the attacks in Sumy, Kyiv and Mykolaiv caused deaths and injuries.

In a statement on social media, Zelenski said a Russian drone struck near a shopping center in Sumy, killing 2 people and injuring 14.

Zelenski said that in Kyiv, an attack on a nine-story apartment building killed 1 person and injured 7, including two children.

According to statements by Ukrainian authorities, civilian structures in different areas were damaged in the September 9 attacks in Kyiv, while emergency teams continued their work.

Zelenski said Mykolaiv came under large-scale attacks throughout the night and during the morning hours, killing 2 people and injuring 7.

Extending condolences to the families and relatives of those killed, Zelenski said rescue teams continued their work following the attacks.

Zelenski said it is important for international partners to focus on steps that can be taken to reduce tensions and end the attacks.

Zelenski said they had discussed the issue with the US President’s team and European representatives, warning that if the Russia-Ukraine war continues, the attacks and tactics Russia is using in Ukraine could also pose a threat to other countries.

Zelenski said, “Terror always poses a threat to many people, and we must confront it together,” thanking everyone who helps protect human lives.
