Zelensky meets with Herzog
Kyiv, February 26 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and stated that they discussed solidarity and security guarantees.
Ukrainian President Zelensky shared details of his meeting with Israeli President Herzog on his social media account. Thanking for the solidarity shown to the Ukrainian people and the support within the framework of the resolutions adopted at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, Zelensky said: "This is precisely the summary of our discussion on ending the war launched by Russia and ensuring reliable security guarantees for Ukrainians."
Zelensky noted that sanctions against the Iranian regime were also raised during the meeting and emphasized that Ukraine’s position is clear, stating: "No terrorist in the world should go unpunished. This is a prerequisite for restoring security and stability."
It was also emphasized that Ukraine is closely monitoring the attacks carried out using Iranian-origin “Shahed” unmanned aerial vehicles supplied to Russia.
