Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the soldiers who showed great courage while defending the country's territory and positions, saying that gratitude toward heroes should be an integral part of a normal state and society.

Noting that fulfilling the promise to provide homes for heroes is also an expression of that gratitude, Zelensky said: “Let the apartments we are providing today be a symbol that Ukraine is truly grateful.”

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is a state that values its heroes and cares about their needs, saying: “Without the courage of Ukrainian warriors, there would be no Ukrainian state.”

Remembering the soldiers who lost their lives, Zelensky said: “We remember everyone who gave their life so that Ukraine could exist.”
