American artists strongly criticize Trump
Some artists in the United States strongly criticized the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump and the tensions related to Iran.
American author Stephen King stated that there are 1054 days left until the end of U.S. President Donald Trump’s term, saying, “He has plenty of time to commit more disgraceful acts. Look at what he has already done! He attacked Minnesota and now the entire Middle East is in flames.”
Actor and director Mark Ruffalo wrote on his social media account: “This week, everyone needs to call their Senators and members of Congress and say ‘No war with Iran!’ Two critical votes are taking place in both chambers to stop Trump’s illegal and destructive war. Call 1-833-STOP-WAR (1-833-786-7927) to connect with your representatives and tell them to vote YES on the Iran War Powers Resolutions.”
Actor John Cusack said in his statement: “We do not belong to a constitutional republic. We are ruled by gangsters and madmen—Netanyahu, Trump—new tech giants and oligarchs, power-mad monsters—unimaginable greed—madness, mental illness.”
Musician Jack White also criticized Trump, saying: “Isn’t it enjoyable to watch someone declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says ‘USA’? That’s the ‘leader of the Peace Council.’ For your next declaration of war, Donny, I suggest you put your feet on the Resolute desk while eating a Big Mac in your velvet tracksuit.”
American comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell said about Trump: “Publicly labeling women as ‘crazy’ has long been your preferred method of exclusion. It requires no evidence and avoids accountability. It’s predictable. I don’t need your approval, comment, or permission. America is coming after you and your criminal organization. You don’t scare me. You never did.”
