Budrys: We will never recognize the occupation of Crimea and other regions of Ukraine
Vilnius, April 18 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys met with representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys reaffirmed his determination in supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Sharing details of the meeting, Budrys said: “I had a good meeting with representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. Lithuania maintains its firm position: we will never recognize the occupation of Crimea and other regions of Ukraine — neither legally nor de facto. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable.”
Referring to the peace process, Budrys stated: “A just peace requires the full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, including Crimea.”
Expressing his firm stance against aggression, Budrys said: “The aggressor and its aggression cannot become a ‘new normal’ — this must be stopped at its source, once and for all.”
