Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported that armed individuals targeted a residential area in Kyiv.

Providing details of the attack, Sybiha said: “A terrible tragedy occurred in Ukraine today: armed individuals took hostages and opened fire in a peaceful residential area of Kyiv. At least six people were killed, and more than a dozen were injured. The attacker was shot dead.”

Expressing condolences and his stance against violence, Sybiha stated: “We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Nothing can justify such violence.”

Sybiha concluded his statement by thanking the international community: “On this tragic day, we sincerely thank all countries and people who share our grief.”
