Sybiha announced that the UN Security Council will hold a key meeting, organized under France’s presidency, to address Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing terror against civilians.

He expressed his gratitude to his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot for organizing the session and showing strong solidarity with Ukraine, saying:

“Ukraine is committed to peace efforts. 49 days ago we accepted the U.S. proposal for a full ceasefire, but Russia rejected it. This clearly shows who seeks peace and who wants to continue the war.”

Sybiha urged Security Council members to firmly support Ukraine’s peace initiatives, openly condemn Russia’s escalating terror against civilians, and take a principled stance on the need to increase pressure on Moscow.

“Defending justice, sovereignty, and peace must be a shared commitment. Ukraine stands strong – and it is not alone,” Sybiha concluded.
