French President Emmanuel Macron celebrated the success of French athletes following the conclusion of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Emphasizing that the number of medals won marks a turning point for France, Macron said, “A total of 23 medals, including 8 gold! A historic record for the French team. Together, you gave your very best until the very end.”

President Macron thanked the athletes and the technical teams behind them, concluding his statement with the words, “Thank you for these emotions, this pride, this example. I congratulate our athletes and everyone who supported them.”
