Von der Leyen: Europe allocates 2 million euros in emergency humanitarian aid for Nepal
Brussels, August 28 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a message of condolence following the floods in Nepal and announced that emergency humanitarian assistance would be provided to the region.
Following the devastating floods in Nepal, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen shared a message of support, extended her condolences to those affected by the disaster and announced the details of the emergency aid package.
Expressing her sorrow over the disaster, von der Leyen said, “My heartfelt condolences go to everyone affected by the devastating floods.”
Highlighting the financial resources to be allocated to the region and the purpose of the support, von der Leyen said, “Europe is allocating 2 million euros in emergency humanitarian aid for Nepal to deliver lifesaving assistance to the families and communities most affected.”
Von der Leyen concluded her statement with the words, “Europe stands with you.”
