Russell: Over 1 million children in Gaza at risk of starvation
New York, May 15 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell stated that over 1 million children in Gaza are at risk of starvation.
Russell said that the killing of more than 45 children in airstrikes conducted over two days in Gaza is beyond comprehension.
She expressed outrage over the widespread indifference to the situation, stating, "There is no safe place for children in Gaza. This horror must stop."
Highlighting that more than 1 million children are at risk of starvation in Gaza, Russell said: "They are deprived of food, water, and medicine. All parties to the conflict must respect international humanitarian law."
