Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said he was honored to host King Abdullah II of Jordan in Stockholm, noting that the Kingdom of Jordan is a close friend and an important partner.

Speaking about the details of the meeting, Kristersson stated:

“We also had a fruitful discussion on the situation in the Middle East following the devastating terrorist attack against Israel and two years of a terrible, destructive war. We discussed Jordan’s important stabilizing role in the region and the importance of seizing the opportunity to end the war in Gaza and take steps toward a two-state solution to the conflict.”
