Zelensky: Energy infrastructure will be strengthened, natural gas prices will be fixed
Kyiv, October 7 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The meeting discussed recovery efforts in regions following Russia’s attacks on energy infrastructure.
Zelensky stated that the government has allocated an additional 1.5 billion hryvnias to protect energy facilities in frontline areas. He also said that a reserve of backup equipment has been established to ensure the rapid restoration of electricity supply, and that this reserve continues to expand.
The meeting also addressed the natural gas sector, the increase of gas reserves, and the security of supply for citizens. Zelensky announced that a decision will soon be made to fix natural gas prices for households and that a moratorium on cutting energy supply to consumers in frontline regions has been implemented.
Zelensky also emphasized the preparation of concrete steps to increase teachers’ salaries and the importance of providing support to internally displaced persons.
