Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel met with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty.

Weel expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s mediation efforts, stating: “I welcome Egypt’s determined mediation efforts to end the catastrophe in Gaza, secure the release of hostages, and achieve a lasting solution.”

Van Weel emphasized that the Netherlands will participate as a co-host of the Gaza reconstruction conference organized by Egypt, and noted that the negotiations between Israel and Hamas launched in Egypt are encouraging.

He added that the Netherlands is ready to contribute 2 million euros to medical aid efforts for Gaza and that cooperation will continue in other critical areas such as migration and trade.
