Ukrainian FM Sybiha: We are grateful for Germany’s principled support
Kyiv, April 29 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said they are grateful for Germany’s principled support and look forward to working closely with the next government to protect their continent.
Minister Sybiha expressed his pleasure at holding his first meeting with Johann Wadephul and congratulated him on his nomination as Germany’s Federal Foreign Minister.
He also expressed appreciation for Friedrich Merz’s strong speech yesterday, calling it a demonstration of true leadership, and added: “I informed Johann about the situation on the battlefield and Ukraine’s peace efforts.”
Sybiha said: “We are grateful for Germany’s principled support and eagerly anticipate working closely with the incoming government to restore a just peace in Ukraine, strengthen European security and sovereignty, and safeguard the stability of our continent.”
