US President Trump: A Historic Day for Peace
Washington, September 29 (Hibya) – United States (US) President Donald Trump spoke about the peace plan prepared for Gaza.
President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. After the meeting, Trump and Netanyahu held a joint press conference.
Highlights from Trump’s speech:
“We worked with many countries. There is no other way to resolve this situation. I’m not just talking about Gaza, I’m talking about far beyond Gaza. We will resolve all of this. This is called peace in the Middle East.
Today is truly a historic day for peace. We completed a highly important meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu. We discussed many important issues.
Today, after comprehensive negotiations with our regional partners, I am presenting our principles and proposal for peace. This involves not only Israel but also other Middle Eastern nations, taking into account all conditions and contributions.
If accepted by Hamas, this offer includes the immediate release of all remaining hostages within 72 hours.
It also means the immediate end of this war. Under the plan, Arab and Islamic countries agreed to disarm Gaza. This will be done very quickly.
The military capacity of Hamas and all other terrorist organizations will be eliminated. All terrorist infrastructure in the region — tunnels, weapons, and weapons manufacturing facilities — will need to be destroyed. Local police forces will also be trained.
In the transitional government of Gaza, all parties will agree on a timeline for the withdrawal of Israeli forces. Israel will halt all attacks and gradually withdraw. Arab and Islamic countries will also be given the opportunity to fulfill their responsibilities and deal with Hamas.
If Hamas does not accept this offer, Israel will have the support of the US to do everything necessary to eliminate the threat. But I believe we have reached a peace agreement.
For these efforts to succeed, a new international monitoring body will be established. The Peace Council will be led by US President Donald Trump. Everyone wanted this. It’s extra work for me, but truly very important. Therefore, I intend to do it. Other world leaders will also be part of this council.”
